Adele Rostami

NZ and UK Registered Dietitian

Adele is a UK and NZ registered dietitian, with over 24 years of advanced training and experience in various areas of nutrition. She has worked with adults and children in NHS University Hospitals and community settings in England, and in recent years, here in New Zealand.

Adele combines the passion of nutrition therapy, with her passion for supporting people. Her years working as a volunteer with vulnerable children and adults, enhances her ability to connect with others and provide intuitive, practical food solutions.  Whether the need is for good nutrition for medical issues or specialist areas of gastrointestinal disorders, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, allergies, intolerances, Paediatrics or Diabetes, Adele will find manageable, achievable and bespoke treatment plans to help support clients in their health goals.

Adele works closely with NZ Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists, including Dr Kamran Rostami in Palmerston North and Dr Hannah Giles in Auckland, to care for clients all over the country. She is the dietitian for New Zealand's national non-responsive coeliac clinic, with international links to other health professionals world-wide.

Adele has specialist skills in complex gastroenterology conditions, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, food intolerances, allergies, paediatrics and complex diabetes.  She is asked to present at medical conferences, community groups and has several publications.

Adele collaborates with Kristen White, the director of Kotare Wellness.

Kotare Wellness

Kristen is the director of Kōtare Wellness Ltd. She is a NZ Registered Dietitian Prescriber with over 20 years of experience helping people achieve better health through food.  She is passionate about supporting clients to maximise their health and well-being with nutrition at any stage of their health care journey.  

Kristen has worked as a clinical dietitian in a variety of roles across primary and secondary health care, and in dietetics education with the University of Otago and Kansas State University. She's worked with adults across the lifespan, from pregnant women with diabetes to older people. Kristen trained in nutrition and dietetics at the Pennsylvania State University and Iowa State University, and holds a MSc from the University of Minnesota. She is a Monash trained FODMAP dietitian and a Level 3 assessed Health and Wellness coach with Wellness Coaching Australia. She's completed advanced training in obesity management for pediatrics and adults with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, professional supervision, and in mindful eating with the Center for Mindful Eating. She is a professional member of Dietitians New Zealand,the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society.

Initial Nutrition Assessment: $175 (in person), $160 (virtual)

What's included:

  • 1 x 60 minute initial assessment consultation
  • Goal setting based on your individual health and nutrition needs 
  • An individualized action plan

Follow-up consultations: $95 (in person), $80 (virtual)

What's included:

  • 1 x 30 minute follow-up appointment to assess ongoing progress on your plan

PAYMENT: An invoice will be provided to you at the end of your appointment. You can pay via online banking. Please ensure payment is received by Adele Rostami Dietitian within 48 hours of your completed appointment.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made within 72 hours of an appointment may incur a $40.00 cancellation fee to cover the room booking and admin costs. 

DO YOU HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE?  Some insurance policies reimburse for NZ Registered Dietitian Appointments depending on your plan  - check with your insurer to see if you are eligible.  You will need to pay for the consultation yourself, then get a receipt then claim back part or all of cost depending on your policy.
